In this role, you'll be managing the Tanzu (consulting) Services Portfolio (mware.com/labs) , and continuous improvement of it based on learnings. You'll apply your skills in lean product development methodologies and approaches, as well as Product Discovery, to the work of ensuring our Services Portfolio has strong market fit. You'll manage services through their lifecycle as well, bringing new services to market and sunsetting services when they no longer have value. You'll continuously mine insights from actual engagements delivered by the Services Delivery organization that are relevant for the improvement of the Tanzu product portfolio, and share these insights back with the Product organization.We're looking for someone who is radically collaborative, and skilled at motivating teams of people to break down complex problems into bite-sized work and start moving ahead. The ideal candidate understands the importance of relationships to effect change, and has plenty of stories to tell about how they led through influence to deliver amazing results.**Success in the Role:** **What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?**+ **1st Day** **:** You've had a great first day, met your manager and a couple of your peers who've welcomed you to the company and answered any burning questions you have. You've met your design pair who will be working closely with you for onboarding and on your first initiative.+ **1st Week** **:** You are given context around the initial problem space you'll be working on. You're starting to attend a bunch of meetings to observe. You're becoming aware of your stakeholders, and starting to build relationships. You're introduced into the wider, internal design and product practice communities, and understand how you're a critical part of that.+ **1st Month** **:** You've gotten a feel for key personas and roles, and you're deepening your team's understanding of their wants, needs, and jobs to be done. Your design, marketing, and outcome engineer teammates are fantastic practitioners and excited to collaborate with you. They are starting to collaborate and rely on you to help them prioritize, stay on track and unblock work. You've stepped up and started leading stand ups, planning meetings and other team ceremonies. You've built relationships with a handful of people whom you can go to for frequent pairing and help.+ **1st Quarter** **:** You understand opportunities and challenges in the broader system, and have started chipping away at improvement. You've become more intentional about addressing these broader opportunities and challenges when building and prioritizing your roadmap and backlog. You've collaborated with your designer in the development of learning for one or more personas and have helped the team de-risk along the way, by involving users. You've also paired with your manager to create goals aligned to your career and development interests. You have the support and resources at hand to go on that journey.+ **1st Year** **:** You've had an evident hand in helping customers succeed with Tanzu, by ensuring we have good services that are delivering value to customers– that are easy to scope, sell and deliver. You have a good mental map of our organization and have built relationships with key people who you go to for information and for execution. You've become an active member of our diverse PM and design community providing and innovating on tools and techniques that are actively used on our team and beyond.**The Work:** **What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?**Your regular activities may be modified to suit your strengths, but you can expect your day-to-day to include:+ **Go-to-market strategy & implementation.** You'll play a key role in the positioning, pricing and packaging of services, ensuring sellers are clear on what to position, when, and why, and that Customer Success Managers have the same knowledge. You'll partner closely with several different teams to run our GTM and ensure sellers have the right capabilities needed to bring in the best work for Tanzu.+ **Backlog management & iteration planning.** Ensuring that we have a prioritized backlog for our services portfolio that people are working from to continuously deliver measurable value toward our vision.+ **Solution discovery.** Working with teams to discover customer problems, and create valuable, desirable and feasible solutions. Ensuring we have strong feedback loops between sellers, services delivery, customers, partners, and the product team. Ensuring the signals are pulled from the “noise” and acted on.+ **Roadmap management:** Managing a roadmap that helps the team stay aligned with key stakeholders, guided by OKRs+ **Metrics & measurement.** Ensuring we have leading indicators of service performance in place, that we're measuring them, and acting on signals so that we are truly evidence based.+ **Communications:** Ensuring that those impacted by our work are continuously aware of what's happening, and understand what it means for them. Understanding the network of people and how to communicate with them is key. Developing and implementing communications plans for particularly complex and/or impactful releases. Creating transparency with respect to what we do.+ **Practice management.** Evolving the discipline of service management itself, so that we're always improving the management of our services portfolio. Teaming up with other Services Strategy Product Managers, Product Designers and Program Managers to codify & iterate our practices.**What is the leadership like for this role?
