Technical Marketing Architect**The Elevator Pitch: Why will you enjoy this new opportunity?**As part of the EUC Technical Marketing Solutions Architecture Team, your work will provide technical guidance to customers, partners, and VMware technical roles to help them implement VMware solutionsto deliver business outcomes. To deliver on these expectations, you will be well-supported with resources, tools, and teammates, as part of an expert-filled Technical Marketing group**Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?**+ Within the first 3 months, you will be well-versed in our tools and processes for delivering content to our public-facing website at mware.com . You will understand how to collaborate with the various stakeholders with whom you will work both within and outside of Technical Marketing. You will be increasing your technical knowledge on the Workspace ONE UEM platform and have identified specific areas of focus to continuously develop subject matter expertise. You will work with other team members on delivering content on solutions focused on the Workspace ONE UEM product set.+ Within 12 months you will be developing meaningful content on your own to show how to deliver business outcomes using our solutions. You will publish content to TechZone. You will help deliver internal enablement sessions to technical roles and will be starting to establish a position of influence as a subject matter expert both inside and outside of VMware.+ Within 18 months you will be helping to drive the direction for content based on the knowledge you will gain on solution strategy, go to market, and what content is effective at producing desired outcomes.**The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?**+ You will impact both the bottom line of the EUC business and influence the direction of VMware's products through working directly with product management, engineering, and product marketing to create content that helps to drive adoption of our solutions.+ You will contribute to the technical body of knowledge through technical enablement and thought leadership for VMware's End User Computing product line by producing technical content on solution deployment, architecture, scalability, troubleshooting, implementation, and operational best practices.+ You will become a widely respected content creator of written and video assets that will be published on VMware's leading technical enablement platform, Digital Workspace Tech Zone – mware.com . The best way to understand the types of work you will be doing daily is to consume the content on TechZone. In this role, you will be one of the people creating that content.+ This role will be primarily focused on our UEM product, and we are looking for someone with 5-7 years of mobile or desktop management skills who has deep technical knowledge of one or more platform ecosystems from Apple or Google. You'll need to be able to troubleshoot problems as you develop content and you should be comfortable using tools such as Wirshark, Xcode, and platform SDKs.**What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?**The Technical Marketing team is part of the overall End User Computing Technical and Product Marketing organization. This is a distributed team of about 60 people working in a combination of home offices and VMware locations who are responsible for marketing, technical marketing, proposals, and compete. This role will work from a home office, preferably in a North American or European time zone. The hiring manager is Jim Yanik, Director, EUC Technical Marketing. Jim has over 30 years of industry experience in professional services, systems engineering, and technical marketing. He has been at VMware for 14 years and has excellent relationships across organizations and is well-versed in the culture of VMware.As part of the Technical and Product Marketing organization, Jim supports employee exploration of the many other functions that surround his team.
