The opportunity

• Lead the delivery of solution or infrastructure development services for large or complex projects, utilizing strong technical skills and practical experience.
• Take responsibility for designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining solutions or infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Understand business and user requirements thoroughly and ensure design specifications meet both business and technical needs.

Your key responsibilities

• Address complex and escalated project issues, including coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Provide advanced technical expertise to optimize efficiency, reliability, and value, demonstrating technical leadership and driving continuous improvement.
• Build strong collaborative relationships across Development & Engineering and Architecture teams to develop leading solutions.
• Lead the work group, setting expectations, principles, and responsibilities to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure consistency in processes, standards, and technical design, supporting the development and implementation of technology standards.

Skills and attributes for success

• Advanced proficiency in designing, developing, and debugging solutions.
• Expertise in one or more of: C#/Java or Python.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
• Over 10 years of relevant experience.
• Significant experience in software or platform engineering roles.
• Experience with delivering software/platform engineering solutions, providing technical advice, and handling user requirements.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, ADO.
• Proficiency in fine-tuning language models for tasks like text generation, summarization, or question answering.
• Knowledge of embedding models and their NLP applications.
• Ability to design autonomous AI systems integrating models with external tools.
• Ability to develop evaluation frameworks for AI models and agents, including metrics and performance testing.

Ideally, you'll also

• Possess Microsoft/Google/AWS certifications.
• Have experience with modern delivery methodologies.
• Proven experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes and Docker.
